  • Classes – can be used to track major segments of business
  • Customer type – can be used to track source of lead
  • Vendor type – can be used segregate large groups of vendors
  • Item type – used to track individual sales categories (inventory and services)

    • Each item is named (i.e., Speaking Engagements)
    • Each item is associated with its corresponding Income or Expense account

Banking
